DAY 1 TRAVEL TO MELBOURNE (D)

On arrival in Melbourne visit the National Gallery of Victoria to view the Winter Masterpieces. The gallery features ancient and modern art from both the Eastern and Western hemispheres in its international galleries. Cross the road to the Ian Potter Centre (Federation Square), home to Australian art from the colonial period to present day, including Indigenous and non-Indigenous art.
Later this afternoon, check in to your accommodation and enjoy some free time at your teachers’ discretion.

DAY 2 MELBOURNE (B, L, D)

After breakfast at your hotel, visit the Arts Centre Melbourne where you will explore the labyrinth beneath the famous spire and uncover the fascinating history of the arts precinct. Students are invited to take a look inside Australia’s largest performing arts centre and the home of world-class music, dance, theatre and opera companies. View the vast underground theatres and discover highlights from the world-renowned performing arts collection. The tour will also encompass current gallery exhibitions and the significant Australian artworks found throughout the Art Centre Foyer. You will have the opportunity to unlock your imagination and creativity when you participate in a custom-made workshop. During the day, enjoy a stage performance at one of Melbourne’s many theatres (matinee- note this is not included in the cost and is an additional charge depending on the ticket price of the show you wish to see).
