Schools looking to inspire and challenge students with a CLIL experience will be drawn to this comprehensive 13 day French Cultural and Language Tour.
The first five days of the tour are spent at the Center Mediterraneen D'etudes Francaise (CMEF), a French foreign language school in Monaco, with formal language classes by day followed by activities and excursions in and around Monaco (full board). The language school is located in a beautiful private wooded park nestled on the hillside overlooking the Mediterranean. It houses an amphitheater designed by French Poet and Playwright Jean Cocteau, which is used for cultural events and the venue for the Graduation Ceremony. Since its inception the CMEF courses have been attended by more than 280,000 students from all over the world - 4,000 students and 200 teachers each year!
The rest of the tour is spent seeing the amazing world famous sites in and around Paris, including the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, the Arc de Triomphe, Versailles and Monet's House & Gardens...just to name a few.

G.E.T's Japan travel specialists Kieran and Mari recently travelled to Japan to take part in The Hope Tourism Hamadori Inbound Project Guided Tour.
In March 2011 the disastrous Great East Japan Earthquake hit the Hamadori area of Fukushima Prefecture, creating a massive earthquake, huge tsunami and a nuclear explosion. This special tour followed the fast paced effort of decontaminating the area and infrastructure development. Click on the button to read Kieran's tour report.
Call G.E.T to speak with Kieran or Mari about adding this fascinating region to your next Japan tour!
The Municipality of Venice has introduced an Access Fee to be paid by occasional visitors on certain dates in April, May, June and July in 2024 and costs EUR 5 per day per person. This is said to have been introduced to reduce the high volume of tourists on the island during the day leaving behind lots of waste.
An exemption can be arranged for secondary school students on an educational trip.
One of the most prestigious cultural events in the world, La Biennale di Venezia, has been running in Venice for the past 130 years, covering Art, Architecture, Cinema, Dance, Music, Theatre, and Historical Archives. For the last 25 years La Biennale has included an Australian national pavilion. This year's Australian pavilion will showcase a First Nations artist for only the second time, Archie Moore (click here to learn more about Archie Moore and his exhibit at this year's event).
The event also includes Biennale Educational promoting learning activities with a strong commitment to all audiences - universities, young children and students from all school levels. You may wish to include a visit to a future Biennale with your school group!
