Itinerary Day By Day

Day 1 SCHOOL - PROSERPINE (D)

Arrive at Proserpine airport and transfer to the marina. Depart from the marina at 5pm. Get involved with setting the sails or take the Helm as we glide across to Hayman Island and drop anchor at the famous Blue Pearl Bay. For those staying at beach camp settle into your new home.

Day 2 WHITSUNDAYS (B,L,D)

Wake up to breakfast in paradise. Learn about the Great Barrier Reef from our resident marine biologist before your first snorkel to witness the wonderous marine life for yourself. Dry off for the afternoon’s presentations as we sail over to another secluded bay for pre-dinner nibbles over sunset.

Day 3 WHITSUNDAYS (B,L,D)

Sail across to two different fringing reefs to investigate the health of the reef and the effects of climate change. Compare a healthy fringing reef with a struggling system to witness first-hand the effects of coral bleaching and climate change.

Day 4 WHITSUNDAYS (B,L,D)

Early rise before being transferred across to Whitsunday Island for a hike up Whitsunday peak. Lunch is served back on the boat as we sail across to Shute Harbour. Jump off for another guided walk up to the Shute Harbour lookout. All aboard for our sunset sail across to Tongue Bay or back to camp.

Day 5 WHITSUNDAYS (B,L,D)

A brisk walk this morning up to Hill Inlet lookout on Whitsunday Island. Take in the vistas of the famous swirling sands before a picnic and beach games on Whitehaven Beach. Back on- board we head over to a secluded beach in need of some TLC and undertake a beach clean-up.

Day 6 WHITSUNDAYS (B,L,D)

A relaxed morning to undertake some personal reflection work before learning the ropes and practicing going up the rigging. In the afternoon, delve into the local indigenous history with a visit to Nara Inlet to study the traditional cave paintings.

Day 7 WHITSUNDAYS- HOME (B,L)

On our last day we sail to Langford sandbar where we will spend the morning playing beach games and snorkelling with the resident turtle population. Back on-board for lunch as we make our way back to the marina.
