The Concept

Experience some of the WWI battle sites where ANZACs fought alongside their European allies, creating an indelible link between France and Australia. This 3-day optional extension features a journey to the beautiful town of Amiens and a guided tour of local historical battlefields and memorials.

Ideal for secondary school history or French language students, this extension will assist language skills, and increase an understanding of WWI history and the historical ties between Australia and France. This extension can ideally be added either right before or after travelling to Tours.
