DAY 1: SCHOOL - AUCKLAND (D)

Depart Australia for your flight to Auckland. On arrival meet your guide, board your private coach and transfer to the city for an orientation tour, followed by a climb up Mount Eden, one of Auckland's inactive volcanoes.

DAY 2: AUCKLAND - RANGITOTO - AUCKLAND (BD)

After breakfast catch a ferry to the volcanic island of Rangitoto for a guided tour through rugged lava crop on board a 4WD road-train. You will arrive at the base of the volcano, and from there it is just a short climb to the summit for epic views. Return to Auckland and visit One Tree Hill volcanic peak, also known as Maungakiekie.

DAY 3: AUCKLAND - ROTORUA (BD)

After breakfast check out of your accommodation, board your private coach and travel to Rotorua where you will explore geothermal wonderlands. This evening enjoy a traditional Maori Hangi dinner and learn about the history of the local Maori people.

DAY 4: ROTORUA - WAIMANGU VOLCANIC VALLEY - TAUPO (BD)

After breakfast check out of your accommodation, board your private coach and travel to Waimangu Volcanic Valley, the world's youngest geothermal valley. After a morning of exploration, head down to Lake Taupo to visit Huka Falls, soak in the natural hot pools and enjoy a view of the lake.

DAY 5: TAUPO (BD)

After breakfast visit the Te Wairoa Buried Village and the Museum of Te Wairoa where records of the Tarawera eruption are displayed. This afternoon enjoy some time to explore Lake Taupo.

DAY 6: TAUPO - TONGARIRO NATIONAL PARK (BD)

After breakfast check out of your accommodation, board your private coach and travel to Tongariro National Park. On the way stop to visit the Turangi Visitor Centre to see the volcanic exhibit and quake simulations. On your arrival at the national park visit the Whakapapa Visitor Centre.

DAY 7: TONGARIRO NATIONAL PARK (BD)

After breakfast explore the Tongariro National Park and enjoy some local walks in this incredible environment.

DAY 8: TONGARIRO NATIONAL PARK - WELLINGTON (BD)

After breakfast check out of your accommodation, board your private coach and travel to Wellington. Visit the Wellington Region Emergency Management Office and take a walking tour of Wellington to see the fault line and uplift visible throughout the city.

DAY 9: WELLINGTON - AUSTRALIA (B)

After breakfast check out of your accommodation, board your private coach and visit the Te Papa Museum for a guided tour. Transfer to the airport for your flight home.
