The Concept

This tour will encourage students' ability to be pro-active and interact through workshops provided at iconic venues such as NIDA, ACMI and the Melbourne Arts Centre. Attendance at a current theatre production is advisable to capitalise on the experience.

DAY 3: MELBOURNE (BD)

After breakfast your coach will take you to today's activities:

ArtVo
ArtVo is a unique, interactive and immersive experience allowing students to explore a range of topics such as team building, writing, art and cultural understanding. There are over 100 3D installations. Your visit begins with an introduction explaining the concept of the artworks and how the photos are taken. Once in the gallery students can go through at their own pace with ArtVo staff available to assist. Students will need to bring their own smartphones/cameras to take the photos.

The Blender Studios Stencil Workshop
The Stencil Workshop has been specially designed by street artists to give an introduction to these mediums under the guidance of a renowned stencil artist. Students will create their own re-usable stencil and artwork on a canvas, both of which is theirs to keep.

This afternoon explore Melbourne at your own pace.

DAY 4: DEPART MELBOURNE (B)

After breakfast meet your guide at Federation Square for your Walk to Art tour of Melbourne. Designed to encourage artistic development through discovery and exploration, Walk to Art allows students to understand art not through the commercial large gallery-style art displays, but through access to street art, public art, artist-run spaces and small galleries. Teachers and students absolutely love this view of Melbourne.

Spend some time exploring ACMI on your return to Federation Square.

Enjoy some free time under the guidance of your teachers before returning home this afternoon.
