The Concept

Experience how modern Japan is a direct descendant of a proud and ancient kingdom in this 10-day tour. Students begin in bustling and sophisticated Tokyo, where a guided tour includes the peaceful Meiji Shrine. From here the tour travels on Shinkansen to scenic Hakone with its celebrated views of Mt Fuji, then onto ancient Kyoto, where students have plenty of time to explore ancient temples and shrines and experience Japanese food, culture and hospitality. Day-trips include Tokyo Disneyland, Hiroshima and Nara, site of the famous Kofuku-ji and Todai-ji Temples.

Designed for secondary school Japanese language students who will improve language skills and increase their knowledge and understanding of Japanese culture. Students will also gain confidence and improve team bonding.
