Experience the cultural richness of Germany and Austria while performing in intimate surroundings to select and appreciative audiences. This 15-day tour is designed for choirs, bands, ensembles and orchestras, with the first concert near Nuremburg, and the final concert near the Baroque city of Vienna. The tour includes plenty of time to experience and appreciate local culture and musical traditions, and includes a visit to the Neuschwanstein Castle built in homage to Richard Wagner and Mozart’s residence.
All concerts are based in small towns, often spa towns. Depending on the musical repertoire students may also perform in churches or as part of a church service. There may be a joint concert with German students. This tour can be arranged as a pre- or post-tour for a Youth Music Festival.
This is a performing arts tour for secondary school choirs, bands or orchestras, who may be accompanied by friends or family. The tour aims to increase understanding of music in a foreign country. Students experience performing in a foreign country with language challenges. They also learn to balance travelling, sightseeing, rehearsing and performing. Students will explore places of importance to many great composers including Beethoven, Mozart, Wagner, Strauss, Liszt, Haydn, and Mahler.
