The Concept

This tour is designed for secondary school students to gain improved knowledge of Australia's unique environment through experiencing some of our geographic wonders. It will also encourage team bonding and leadership skills through camping and living in remote areas and a better understanding of indigenous life.

Itinerary Day By Day

DAY 1: DARWIN (D)

Arrive in Darwin, board your coach and begin your Top End adventure. Today you will visit Stokes Hill Wharf and the Royal Flying Doctors Service, where you will learn about important aspects of Darwin’s history along with the journey of the RFDS from the beginning to where it is now.

Travel to your campground at Territory Wildlife Park for the evening and dinner.

DAY 2: DARWIN - KAKADU (B, L, D)

After an early breakfast spend the morning getting a closer look at the animals indigenous to the area at the Territory Wildlife Park.

After lunch visit Pudakul, an Indigenous owned and operated business delivering a rich 2-hour cultural experience.

Travel in to Kakadu National Park to your private accommodation for the next 2 nights.

DAY 3: KAKADU (B, L, D)

Following breakfast head down to the East Alligator River for an Indigenous guided Guluyambi Cultural Cruise, learning aspects of Indigenous lifestyle, history and the art of spear throwing.

Return to camp to relax around the fire.

DAY 4: KAKADU (B, L, D)

Following breakfast we learn through the Gunbim (rock art), stories of the Dreamtime Ancestors and how they affect the earth still to this day. Climb to the lookout at Nawurlandja to get an overall view of the surrounding area - 1.8-billion-year-old rock outliers, billabongs and savanna woodland.

Head to the Warridjan (pig nose turtle) Culture Centre for some more visual learning and a bite to eat.

This afternoon swim at Maguk and set up camp for the night.

DAY 5: KAKADU - LITCHFIELD NATIONAL PARK (B, L, D)

Following breakfast say goodbye to Kakadu and head south to Edith Falls. Take a short hike to the top pools of Edith Falls for a relaxing day in the water.

Stop at the Adelaide River War Cemetery on the way to your camp for tonight in Litchfield National Park.

DAY 6: LITCHFIELD NATIONAL PARK - DARWIN (B)

Following breakfast visit the very picturesque Florence Falls, making your way to the bottom for a swim, then its a short walk further on to Buley Rock Hole for a swim in plunge pools.

Stop for lunch at Wangi Falls, before another swim, then travel on to Darwin for your return flight home.
