Our intensive language and study tour has been designed for students at intermediate and advanced learning levels. Our homestay partners are carefully selected to provide students with a safe and comfortable family environment in convenient locations, and is an ideal opportunity for students to progress their language skills while making new friends.

CREIPAC (Centre de Rencontres et d’Echanges Internationaux du Pacifique) has long been regarded as the leading language school in Noumea, and has been a longstanding partner of G.E.T for more than 20 years. For those schools who have visited CREIPAC many times, and who may be interested in learning in a more conversational and integrated style, there are other language schools which you may consider as alternatives. Information is available upon request.

DAY 1: AUSTRALIA – NOUMÉA

Depart Australia for your flight to Noumea with Aircalin. On arrival at Tontouta Airport you will transfer by coach to your hotel accommodation on the idyllic Anse Vata beachfront (or similar).

DAY 2: HOMESTAY (BD)

After breakfast transfer by coach to CREIPAC for your first 3-hour French lesson. Lessons will focus on conversational French and will give you a number of useful phrases and expressions that can be practised during your time in New Caledonia.

Following today's lesson you will be transferred to your accommodation for free time until 4:30pm, when you will meet your homestay family and be taken to their home for the next 5 nights. Teachers will be accommodated at a hotel during this time.

DAYS 3 - 4: HOMESTAY (BD)

After breakfast each day with your homestay family you will be dropped off at CREIPAC for your French lessons. Afternoons will be spent doing activities (the G.E.T French Language Worksheets are a great way to fill in the time!).

At 4:30pm your host family will pick you up from the agreed meeting point and return you to their home for the rest of the evening. You will share dinner with the family and have a chance to practise all of the French that you have been learning in class.

DAY 5: AMÉDÉE ISLAND (BLD)

After breakfast your host family will drop you off at Port Moselle at 8:00am for a full day excursion to Amédée Lighthouse. You will take the Mary D boat out to the island and have plenty of time to explore, view the coral reef from glass bottom boats, climb the lighthouse and soak up your beautiful surroundings. This excursion also includes a tropical island buffet lunch and performance on the beachfront, which showcases the best of Melanesian culture and dance.

Your host family will meet you at Port Moselle to return you to their home.

DAY 6: HOMESTAY (BLD)

Today you will spend the day with your host family and have a unique opportunity to experience what daily life is like for locals in Nouméa. Your host family will provide all meals on this day if it falls over the weekend.

DAY 7: NOUMÉA (BD)

After breakfast your homestay family will drop you off at CREIPAC and say their goodbyes. Following your final language lesson you will transfer by coach to your hotel accommodation for free time to enjoy your final afternoon in Noumea. We highly recommend a trip to Geant supermarket for some lunch and last minute shopping for friends and family. Dinner is at your accommodation this evening.

DAY 8: NOUMÉA – AUSTRALIA (B)

After breakfast it is time to say goodbye to New Caledonia and transfer by coach to Tontouta Airport for your flight home.

ALTERNATIVE TOUR OPTION (COST ON APPLICATION)

For schools not wanting to take part in the Homestay component, 7 nights accommodation at a hotel can be arranged.
