DAY 1: AUSTRALIA - DENPASAR - UBUD (D)

Depart Australia for Bali. On arrival at Denpasar Airport you will be met by your Tour Coordinator to transfer to your Ubud accommodation by coach.

This evening enjoy a Welcome Dinner with your Program and Safety Briefing.

DAY 2: UBUD (BLD)

After breakfast start with an Introduction and Orientation Session for your Service Learning project which will cover Balinese culture, Do's and Don'ts, local people and their beliefs and way of life.

Enjoy your first Bahasa Indonesia Language Lesson, then after lunch, take a walking tour of Ubud - visit Monkey Street, the Monkey Forest, Ubud Palace, Ubud Traditional Market and Ubud Centre.

After dinner at your accommodation tonight is under the guidance of your teachers.

DAY 3: UBUD (BLD)

After breakfast jump straight into your Service Learning project. This could be Educational Assistance / Environmental Conservation / Construction & Renovation / Teaching.

After lunch participate in your second Bahasa Indonesia Language Lesson which will include an Indonesian Cooking Class to make your own Balinese dinner. Following dinner enjoy an authentic local Balinese Dance Show.

DAY 4: UBUD (BLD)

After breakfast continue with your Service Learning project.

Following lunch participate in a tour of Gunung Kawi, local rice terraces and a Pura Tirta Empul Temple Water Ceremony (shower with the holy water).

After dinner at your accommodation tonight is under the guidance of your teachers.

DAY 5: UBUD (BLD)

After breakfast its your last day to work on your Service Learning project. This afternoon take part in your “Thank you” Ceremony and receive your Certificates of Appreciation.

Tonight enjoy your Green Lion Farewell Family Dinner.

DAY 6: UBUD (BLD)

After breakfast the morning is under the guidance of your teachers.

Following lunch participate in a Batik Painting workshop and make your own batik scarf – a great souvenir to take home.

Dinner tonight is at your accommodation.

DAY 7: UBUD - NUSA PENIDA (BLD)

After breakfast board your coach and travel to Nusa Penida, stopping at the famous Uluwatu Temple on the way. Here you will have the opportunity to walk around and take in the spirituality of the temple located on a stunning clifftop with magnificent views of the Indian Ocean and have lots of photo opportunities with the local furry residents – the monkeys.

Continue on to Nusa Penida and take the ferry over to your accommodation where you will stay for the next three nights. Dinner is at your accommodation tonight.

DAY 8: NUSA PENIDA (BLD)

After breakfast participate in the Sea Turtle Conservation Volunteer Nusa Penida Project where you will work alongside a local team and help protect the endangered sea turtles of Indonesia. Depending on the time of year (turtles do not nest all year round), you may be identifying turtle species, collecting eggs, monitoring nests, or seeing hatchlings get safely to sea. (No swimming activities involved).

Return to your accommodation for dinner and a beach bonfire experience.

DAY 9: NUSA PENIDA (BLD)

After breakfast continue with the Sea Turtle Conservation Volunteer Nusa Penida Project.

After lunch take a tour of Nusa Penida which will include visits to Kelingking Beach, Broken Beach and Angel’s Billabong (no swimming activities involved).

Return to your accommodation for your Farewell Dinner.

DAY 10: NUSA PENIDA - DENPASAR - AUSTRALIA (B)

After breakfast the morning is under the guidance of your teachers.

Later this afternoon transfer to the Denpasar Airport via ferry and coach for your flight home.
