The Concept

Schools enjoy visiting Wakayama, considered the agricultural heartland of Japan. Wakayama is also famous for the Three Grand Shrines and the Kumano Pilgrimage Routes, but groups also visit for the chance to experience the real Japan.

Wakayama is famous for its high quality produce with growing conditions ideal for Peaches, Plums, Strawberries, Blueberries, Melon, Grapes Tomatoes, Ume and much more. Our suggested itinerary is listed here however visits can be arranged to meet farmers and also production factories where students will learn about the specific growing conditions and climate in this region

Please note that rice planting, fruit picking and harvesting as well as a Farmstay experience are available for those seeking a unique Japanese homestay experience.

This add-on is based on departing and arriving into Osaka, but can be added to any Japan itinerary you may be considering.
