The Concept

Singapore is fast becoming a country of interest for Australian STEM teachers as a safe and interesting destination for student groups. Particularly suitable for students in years 9 to 12, Singapore combines quality STEM experiences with history and culture, arts and adventure.

Please note: We have created this itinerary as a 7 day program to fit most Australian city return flight schedules. Additional days may be added according to your preferred departure city if you would like to include extra experiences in Singapore, or even extend into Malaysia. Please contact us for more information.

Itinerary Day By Day

DAY 1 AUSTRALIA – SINGAPORE (D)

Check in for the flight to Singapore. On arrival, transfer by private coach to your accommodation. On arrival you will enjoy a meet and greet before transferring to your accommodation. For lunchtime arrivals, you will enjoy an orientation sightseeing tour by coach prior to arriving at your hotel for check in.
The remainder of the day is at own arrangements. Buffet dinner at hotel.

DAY 2 SINGAPORE (B, D)

AM: This morning, make your way to the nearby MRT and arrive at Esplanade Station for your guided tour at Iexperience, also known as Information and Communications Technology Experience Centre – allow 90m. Located at Esplanade Xchange along the underground link way between Raffles City and Suntec City, visitors can experience and explore how smart nation services could improve services and quality of life for consumers, and increase the productivity and competitiveness of businesses. Lunch at the nearby food court is at own arrangements. 

PM: Catch the MRT to Marina Bay Sands to visit the Singapore Art Science Museum. View the current exhibitions and participate in your chosen education workshop session – allow 3 hours. Please note that the guided tour/ workshop is only available from Tuesdays to Thursdays, 2.30pm to 4.30pm. Take a walk around the Marina Bay complex before making your way to the river pick up point for your Bumboat Cruise to Clarke Quay. On arrival, make your way to the restaurant (3 min walk), Dinner tonight is at Kublai Kahn, Mongolian BBQ and buffet restaurant overlooking Clarke Quay. After dinner, return to your hotel by MRT.

DAY 3 SINGAPORE (B, D)

AM: Make your way to the Battlebox for your guided tour (0945) – allow 90m. After the tour, walk across to Dhoby Ghaut Shopping mall for lunch in their food court. 

PM: Head back to your hotel to meet your coach (1.30pm) and arrive at the NEWater Centre for your 2.15 guided tour – allow 90m. Transfer by coach to the Singapore Zoo Night Safari. Enjoy the buffet dinner and night safari tour, before returning to your hotel by private coach arriving 9pm.

DAY 4 SINGAPORE (B)

Today has been allocated as a free day in Singapore, We recommend spending the day at Sentosa Island, or perhaps a walk from your hotel to Chinatown for some shopping, lunch and entertainment.

DAY 5 SINGAPORE (B)

AM: Meet your coach at 0900 to visit the Singapore Science Centre. Teachers will select their DNA Workshop in advance – your workshop runs 0930-1130 followed by a 1 hour guided tour of the Science Centre. Lunch is available at the Science Centre café, and there is also a MacDonald’s on-site. 

PM: You will then take your coach to the Singapore City Gallery for your 1 hour guided tour. Highlights include urban design and sustainability, technology – over 3 floors and 10 themes, 50 interactive exhibits. Dinner tonight is at own arrangements.

DAY 6 SINGAPORE (B)

AM: Your private coach will take you to the Marina Barrage for your guided tour (0900) – allow 60m. Following your tour, your coach will take you to the magnificent Gardens by the Bay for a self-guided tour or workshop- allow 2 hours.
Please note: Marina Barrage closed on Tuesday.
Your coach will then return you to the hotel. Lunch is at own arrangements, and can be arranged with the hotel if preferred. 

PM: Enjoy the remainder of the day as leisure time at your teachers’ discretion. Enjoy the hotel pool, or go for a walk and do some shopping.

DAY 7 SINGAPORE – AUSTRALIA (B)

AM: You will spend the day with your teachers doing some last minute exploring. 

PM: Head by coach to the airport this afternoon to check in for your flight back to Australia.

Please note:

Peak season for travel falls between December and June, with "super-peak" beginning in mid-December and lasting through to the Chinese Lunar New Year, which falls in January or February. Singapore F1 is super – peak which is around the last week or 2 of September. Schools are recommended to avoid these travel periods.
