The Concept

Spend 9 days in the unique heart of Australia exploring and experiencing stunning natural landscapes and indigenous culture. The tour includes an overnight stay in underground accommodation at Coober Pedy, a visit to our national icon Uluru and the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre, Kings Canyon and camping at Alice Springs.

This tour is designed for secondary school students to gain improved knowledge of Australia's unique environment through experiencing some of our geographic wonders. It will also encourage team bonding and leadership skills through camping and living in remote areas and a better understanding of indigenous life.

Take your students on an adventure of a lifetime they will never forget.

Continue travelling north to Marla, then drive across the Northern Territory border to Uluru and set up camp for two nights.

DAY 4 ULURU AND KATA TJUTA (B, L, D)

Begin the day at the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre where Anangu, (local Aboriginal people), have worked with architects, designers and interpreters to create a dynamic experience of indigenous life. DAY 5 ULURU – KINGS CANYON (B, L, D)

After leaving Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, stop at the Mt Connor Lookout. View the mesa rising almost 300 metres from the plain, en route to Kings Canyon in Watarrka National Park. Set up camp at Kings Creek Station. If time permits, try the Kings Creek Walk, which meanders along Kings Creek to a viewing platform offering stunning views of the sheer canyon walls.

DAY 6 KINGS CANYON – ALICE SPRINGS (B, L, D)

This morning, climb to the top of the canyon rim and be rewarded with spectacular views. Marvel at the sight of red sandstone walls plunging into lush vegetation and natural rock pools.
