The Concept

From thriving multicultural cities to Orangutan sanctuaries, jungle tribes and carnivorous plants, the Island of Borneo offers visitors an unforgettable experience. During this 10-day tour of Sarawak students experience traditional culture and unique flora and fauna. Highlights include the multicultural city of Kuching where the ‘White Rajahs’ ruled, the Semenggok Wildlife Centre with its rescued Orangutans, a jungle walk with indigenous Iban trackers and the Sarawak Cultural Village where traditional dancing will be demonstrated. The tour finishes with two nights in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia’s bustling capital city, and a great opportunity to shop.

This tour is intended for secondary school Indonesian language students who will improve language skills, and gain a better understanding of and more respect for other cultures. The tour will also assist with team bonding.
